SENSE OF PLACE

What is place? Place can be referred to as a consequence of time and space. In the physical dimension, it exists. Every place reverberates distinctively and if you're aware, if you watch closely, you are just a form of sound (a noise perhaps). You are a place of your own and sensing this is the ultimate. The image above triggers my emotions in many ways. I feel a sense of royalty and truth in Union.

This is the first layer of colour on the sense of place I intend to illustrate. I use digital painting with SketchBook Pro with the aid of a digital drawing pad and pen.

SENSE OF PLACE

You're obviously wondering what, where, why this picture? This is a scene of Desa Tambun in my hometown, Ipoh. That little building is what I always see when I drive by the highway. My Godparents live right at the bottom of that peak. It gives me the sense of Home when I look at this image. Every memory rushes into me and I attain true peace.
