Repetition and Movement

 REPETITION AND MOVEMENT

REPETITON

Mic, 1, 2, 3...I REPEAT. Mic, 1, 2, 3...Now I'm guessing you have a clearer idea on what's Repetition. In other words, it is the act of repeating a similar pattern, shape, word, image. It can be anything. An occurrence of the known more than once can be considered as Repetition. The above pattern of repetition does not have a discriminate identity, yet it creates it's own when perceived.

FINAL OUTCOME

My final design uses pastels to describe a very simple yet obvious character of Repetition by displaying similar lines of various colours oriented in one direction. (Not the music band)

MOVEMENT

Movement cannot be ignored. Movement is what we are, by nature and our activities. The rate of movement differs but essentially movement is necessary. Similarly in Design, Movement holds a huge role in making an impact, aesthetically and functionally.

FINAL DESIGN

With the use of pastels, the curve of a specific shape describes the figure of the feminine. As the nature of feminine is to be gentle and receptive, the flow of Movement shows it's ability to be receptive and flexible, describing the secret to success in Life.
